East Side University Village Community Learning Center offers a range of programs such as job workplace readiness, Graduate Equivalency Degree classes, and technical training for free to the public.

The students will have open door access to an alternative neighborhood based community technology center which in addition to basic computer skill classes ESUVCLC offers: GED Preparation Classes, Life Skills Training Classes, After School Youth Computer Tutorials, Job Training, and English as a Second Language (ESL), en espanol, y clases en espanol.

Instructor led class on usage of entire Office suite. EXCEL,ACCESS, WORD, and POWER POINT. Become more employable by increasing students ability to use MS Office. (MS OFFICE SUITE is popular in most employment environmennts today.)

Basic Computer Skills

Designed for students with very little or no computer training. In a hands-on environment, the student learns safely and effectively to operate the INTERNET, MS WORD, EMAIL, basic computer software applications and to identify basic computer hardware.

Adrian Brown

Helps students prepare for General Education Development (GED) exam and the transition to employment, vocational training, or college. Through computer based learning, students take lessons in the five core subject areas: Science, Social Studies, Reading, Math, and Writing. An Adult Basic Education (ABE) class helps students develop basic skills in writing, critical reading and basic mathematics. Students are assigned to an ASE or ABE class as determined by TABE placement testing. Student progress is required to remain in the program. Students who have shown sufficient progress are given the Official Practice Test to assess their final readiness to register for the GED exam. Financial Aid for academy tuition is available for qualifying students through our partnership with Workforce Solutions. Seats are limited. ESUVCLC DOES NOT GIVE THE EXAM.

Conversational Spanish

FINANCIAL BOOK CLUB

Combines personal finance with improving reading, speaking, and written communication skills. Students participate in discussions, assignments, and projects about personal finance tips and testimonies based on the reading. Students read one or two books per term.
